The focus is on promoting effective working methods and a culture of trust and open discussion within the supervisory board. After all, this is a key success factor for effective supervisory board activity.<\/p>\n<p>Four key areas of action are essential to strengthen effectiveness:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Professional and personal skills of the supervisory board members:<\/strong> They must not only have proven expertise in their specialist area. Comprehensive social and communication skills as well as the necessary independence and professionalism are also essential.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Characteristics and composition of the supervisory board team:<\/strong> Successful cooperation requires all supervisory board members to be team players. This aspect must be taken into account when selecting new supervisory board members, in addition to the necessary diversity on the board.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Organization and working methods of the supervisory board:<\/strong> An open culture of discussion can only develop if the opportunity for discussion is created. This is achieved through a high frequency and duration of meetings, forward-looking agenda setting and meeting management, the establishment of committees and the provision of meaningful and comprehensive information.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Values and standards:<\/strong> Shared values and accepted standards form the basis for respectful, open and trusting cooperation within the supervisory board and with the executive board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<h2>Our approach<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Our<strong> board development approach<\/strong> promotes the targeted and systematic development of supervisory boards.
